Project Gallery – Ornamental Art, Furniture/Misc – Armory
The historic Marshall Street Armory in Lansing, Michigan was adaptively reused to house non-profit organizations. The building is noted for its open interior with riveted roof trusses. Bach Steel fabricated unique decorative arches that are positioned over walkways added within the building. These arches were riveted together with real rivets, just like the roof trusses were riveted decades ago when the building was created. The arches therefore harmonize with the structural elements of the building. Bach Steel also installed steel letters spelling out “Armory” on the building’s brick chimney.
